SOLUTION

CEREAL BOX FRONT AND BACK

Fun Facts
For this project, there was a lot of information to convey verbiage-wise on the back of the box. To manage it all, I split the box into upper and lower information areas. Then, using the Ben 10 circles as a design element, chose a maze-style approach to walking readers through the prizes.
The most challenging part was choosing and shooting the cereal box so that its color and size matched and joined together well. Then the existing promotion had to be removed and masked out. The sweepstakes artwork was completed in 2D, then laid onto the flat box side pictures. Finally, each box side was individually skewed to produce a 3D effect.

PHOTO OF INSTALLATION

Fun Facts
For this project, what I had to keep in mind was the perceptual difference between monitor-sized spacing and wall-sized spacing.
Too much fun, huh? I would really enjoy creating a bus cover, now.
PROPOSED SOLUTION

MATRIX KIDS

Fun Fact
The choice of blue and green came directly from the logos of both companies. The mingling colors were meant to metaphorically enhance the concept of partnership. The boy and girl represented their target market.

SOLUTION

AFTER                                                                   BEFORE

Fun Fact
Sometimes it’s the mock-ups no one sees that make something successful.
When done right, they should look like something that actually exists.

For example, in this ad, none of the newest-title “Protector of Earth” DVDs had actually been produced, yet — so four DVD mock-ups were created from poster art and dropped in. The T-shirt is also a mock-up.

SOLUTION

POWERPOINT TITLE CARD + SLIDES

Fun Facts
Grunge stars, chosen to appeal to the pre-teen crowd, were hand-designed in Illustrator. The jagged-edge and paint-spray styles were applied to elements throughout the presentation for continuity.
Opening animation included the stars twirling as they zoomed in from the center.
This presentation was produced in 16×9 format (HD aspect ratio), which, at the time, was fairly cutting edge.
