My marketing approach, in three tenets:
1. The uniqueness of an industry must be absorbed. It is the soul of marketing. Getting to know the entities, leaders, events and relative press puts the playing field in perspective, and lays the groundwork for a successful campaign.
2. The competition must be paid attention to. That knowledge informs any campaign. Plus, it’s cheaper to learn from others’ mistakes.
3. Campaign execution is a dance. It’s best trusted to a proven choreographer. From putting together press lists, all the way through finessing a trade show’s follow-up; a successful marketing campaign woos your audience, helps them forget those guys in tenet #2, and brings your company business.
